Text Box: Reliability, Performance and Affordability.

Text Box: Server Operating Systems are fundamental to successfully operating a network and from the conceptual Windows NT through to Windows Server 2003, their function has been to provide performance, reliability and compatibility, something the Windows Server range of software does very well.
Alternatively if you have a network of 10pc’s or less why not use Windows XP Pro as your server OS. It saves you money, time and offers as much flexibility as a Server OS.
It will also share an internet connection and means you are not paying for expensive elements of a server OS that you may never us, and the good thing is if you do need specific Server OS parts such as DNS then there are 3rd party pieces of software that allow you to do this, and surprisingly, many of them are free. Talk to us for further details.

Text Box: · The server Operating System requires knowledgeable setup and correct installation. If it’s not it will not function correctly and will result in loss of network facilities
· Lack of maintenance will result in poor performance and possible loss of network availability.
· Management of the Network is performed mainly through the Server OS and involves User Setup and security management.
· 90% of the functions and problems of the Server OS can be managed and maintained remotely via a dial up or broadband. See our contractual

Text Box: The server operating system is at the heart of the computer network and provides a functional ‘Bridge’ between your PC and other PC’s. It also provides compatibility with the outside world, the internet, faxing, emails and more.

Sever operating systems also provide security in the form of Log-On’s, 128 bit encryption, passwords and privileged access and the server operating system provides the systems and programs to manage the network.

Like most parts of the IT environment the server OS requires maintenance and attention through the form of management and hands on action.
